In 2023, Casa Guapuruvu received an honorable mention at the international Golden Trezzini Awards, which centers on the theme: Architecture as Art.

This residence is a contemporary retreat nestled in the mountains of the Minas Gerais cerrado, born from the desire for a harmonious connection with the surrounding nature. With an approach inspired by natural elements such as wood, bamboo, and light-colored exposed concrete, Casa Guapuruvu exudes a bold yet welcoming atmosphere. Its curved slabs, interwoven in a play of sinuous shapes, evoke the mountains that frame the region. Every external railing is thoughtfully landscaped, incorporating native vegetation and creating an atmosphere of privacy and tranquility.

The house embraces an internal garden, centering around a tree that becomes the focal point in both the master suite and the social area. Additionally, an inviting terrace offers space for stargazing and enjoying the breathtaking landscape that extends beyond the property. The ventilation was carefully designed, with strategically placed openings to allow for a constant and refreshing breeze.

Embracing the concept of biophilic design, Casa Guapuruvu fosters a deep connection between humans and nature. Every architectural element was meticulously planned to promote this intimate link with the natural environment. From the materials used to the arrangement of openings, every detail was designed to bring the essence of nature into the interior spaces.

Harmoniously integrated into the mountainous landscape of the Minas Gerais cerrado, Casa Guapuruvu invites its inhabitants to experience the calm and serenity that only nature can offer. It is a refuge that celebrates the abundance of light, fresh air, and natural beauty, offering a unique and revitalizing experience for those who dwell within.
