Araribá house is a residence designed for a family that enjoys welcoming friends for large gatherings and celebrations. With this in mind, the floor plan was organized to create flows that encourage interaction while preserving the privacy and intimacy of the residents.

The house was positioned on the highest and least wooded portion of the site. This allows it to open toward the surrounding mountain ranges while minimizing the removal of native vegetation.

Large stone walls cross the residence, creating contrast, rhythm and texture while also providing protection from the local climate, which ranges from very hot to very cold. In addition to the main house, two guest pavilions were built, each with two suites. Hidden within the forest, each suite has its own entrance and is connected by a subtle path through the vegetation, where lighting serves as the main guide.

The same stone walls used throughout the main house were incorporated into the guest pavilions, helping them blend into the surrounding landscape.
